They are for ANyone whos interested in a HIGH PROTEIN, LOW CARB alternative in a liquid form.

ALL the recipes are derived from a variety of online sources. And all have some form of PROTEIN within the ingredients (weather its a whey protein, or a yogurt). Some have calorie/carb and protein counts, most do not. and this would vary depending on which protein powder product you would use, anyway.

STRAWBERRY-BANANA SMOOTHIE






Ingredients:

4 cups sliced fresh strawberries
1 medium banana, sliced
1 6-ounce carton vanilla low-fat yogurt
1 cup ice cubes
1 kiwifruit, peeled and sliced (optional) 

*add your favorite VANILLA PROTEIN POWDER to bump up the protein (adjust nutritional adjustments)

Directions:

In a blender, combine strawberries, banana, and yogurt; cover and blend until smooth. With blender running, add ice cubes, one at a time, through hole in the lid; blend until smooth. Pour into 8 small glasses. If desired, garnish with kiwifruit; serve immediately.

Makes 8 (about 1/2-cup) servings

CARROT SMOOTHIE

Carrot Smoothie Recipe




Prep Time: 10 mins
Cook Time: 15 mins
Rest Time: 10 mins
Total Time: 25 mins
Ingredients

1 cup(s) carrot(s), sliced
1 cup(s) orange juice
1 1/2 cup(s) ice cubes
1/2 teaspoon orange peel, finely shredded

Preparation
1. In a covered small saucepan, cook carrots in a small amount of boiling water about 15 minutes or until very tender. Drain well. Cool.

2. Place drained carrots in a blender. Add finely shredded orange peel and orange juice. Cover and blend until smooth. Add ice cubes; cover and blend until smooth. Pour into glasses. If desired, garnish with orange peel curls.

BERRY-ORANGE SUNRISE SMOOTHIE

 

Ingredients

Makes 1 Serving
1 tub SUGAR FREE Orange Flavor Drink Mix
1 cup cold water
1 cup chopped frozen strawberries
1/4 cup fat-free milk
2 Tbsp. Fat Free Sour Cream

Cooking Instructions

ADD drink mix to water; stir until mix is dissolved.
REMOVE 2 Tbsp. of the prepared drink; add to blender. Reserve remaining prepared drink for other use. (See Tip.)
ADD remaining ingredients to blender; blend on high speed 30 sec. or until thickened and well blended. Serve immediately.

*TIP- add a VANILLA flavored PROTEIN POWDER (of your choice) to bump up the protein allotment, adjust nutritional values.*

ALMOND PINEAPPLE SMOOTHIE


Ingredients:
    4 ounces plain whole-milk yogurt 
    2.5 ounce fresh pineapple cubes 
    2 tablespoons almonds 
    ½ cup unflavored, unsweetened almond milk
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients in a blender, blend until smooth.
